 The PMR is located between surrounding towns that offer numerous fun things to do and see. Lincoln and North Woodstock are two of those towns. Visitors go there mainly to enjoy beautiful natural landscapes through world-class skiing and hiking trails which we’ve listed on other pages. Here on this page we’ve listed a few outfitters that offer tours on ATVs, snowmobiles, kayaks, canoes, and in buses. There are also several family-friendly theme parks and many other wonderful attractions!

Address:   The marker on Route 3 in Lincoln NH is positioned just across from cottage #20 at Indian Head Resort.

On September 19, 1961 while driving on US Rt 3 to their home in Portsmouth, NH, the Hills observed a large silent, hovering disk-shaped object. They awoke to find they were 35 miles south of Lincoln and of a two-hour period of “missing time”. “The Betty and Barney Hill Incident” is the first widely reported alien abduction in the United States. The state put up a site marker in 2011, fifty years after the events reportedly occurred. A movie was later made called “The UFO Incident”. More Info.

The Flume is a natural gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty. The walls of Conway granite rise to a height of 70 to 90 feet and are 12 to 20 feet apart. The Flume Trail is a 2-mile loop starting at the check-in booths located in front of the Flume Building. The Short Trail/Rim Path is closed and the only option is to complete the full 2 mile loop. The entire loop takes approximately 1.5 hours and finishes at the Flume Building. The walk includes uphill walking and lots of stairs. The boardwalk allows you to look closely at the growth of flowers, ferns and mosses found there.
